Direct Reimbursement for
Vision & Dental

An efficient plan to reduce overhead and deliver more of every benefit dollar.
Most employers may be surprised at how few of their benefit dollars are being spent on actual dental care under current dental plans. Up to 40 percent of every dollar can go to advertising and managing their plans; not to dental treatment. Some dental managed care plans take up to 45 percent of every dollar in administration. Direct Reimbursement puts more money where the mouth is by eliminating costly insurance premiums and allowing plan sponsors to reimburse employees directly for their care. And because DR allows employers to design a plan based specifically on their benefit objectives and budget, costs stay completely within company control.
The concept can be expanded to include vision and other benefits.
A simple plan for companies to manage.
Since the funds set aside under a Direct Reimbursement Plan are controlled by the company and not an outside insurer, the plan sponsor is free to use them however they choose to reduce program costs. Also, unlike traditional plans, there are no exclusions or treatment restrictions (except for financial limits set by the plan), and the time spent dealing with costly administrative processes is virtually eliminated. Simple claim forms replace detailed paperwork - Direct Reimbursement is handled in much the same way as business expense reports.
An employee-friendly plan with complete freedom of choice.
Direct Reimbursement helps make employees better dental care consumers because it allows them to get the exact treatment they need - from dentists they choose - without worrying about whether their treatment is covered. This leads to more satisfied employees and reduces or eliminates the risk factor for employers. View sample dental plan designs.
